The Wine Squirrel Wine Preserving Decanter is designed to help opened wine last longer by reducing the amount of air touching the wine. Instead of trying to preserve wine inside the original bottle, you pour the wine into the decanter and use the plunger-style seal to close off the wine from excess oxygen.
Overall, we thought it worked great. It was easy to use, easy to clean, and had a nice design that looked good on the counter. More importantly, it actually helped preserve the wine during our at-home test.
